Ministry Partnership

Informational Brochure 2010-2011

After just over 3 years as an undergraduate student at Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo, CA, I will be graduating in December with a degree in Modern Languages and Literatures.  During my freshman year at Cal Poly, I formed close relationships with other students through a Christian organization called Campus Crusade for Christ. Through a small group Bible Study, weekly meetings, and weekend retreats, I learned what it meant to be a woman who pursues a relationship with the God who pursues each of us with unfailing love.

As I grew in my relationship with the Lord, I was challenged to go on a summer mission project to El Salvador in Central America.  The summer after my sophomore year of college, I set out to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with university students in the nation’s capitol, San Salvador.  While in San Salvador, I experienced a growing depth in my own understanding of the Gospel, and the Holy Spirit began to tug on my heart and mold my desires for the future.  During this time I began to pray about doing full time Christian ministry after graduation.

When I returned to Cal Poly to begin my third year of studies, I understood the need for college students to hear of Christ’s love and sacrifice.  The Lord continued to increase my love for the college students  both internationally and here in San Luis Obispo.  My prayers about full time ministry continued, and the Lord answered my prayers by providing an opportunity for me to join the Campus Crusade for Christ staff team with a one year internship at Cal Poly.

The mission of Campus Crusade for Christ is to share the love of Jesus Christ with the 20,000 students at Cal Poly, so that every student knows someone who truly follows Christ.  Over the past 10 years at Cal Poly, the weekly meetings for Campus Crusade for Christ have grown from less than 10 students to attendance surpassing 800 students!  I am excited to be a part of this mission, as sharing the Gospel and helping students to grow in their walk of faith have become my real passions.  I cannot think of a better way to spend this next year!

It is a joy to see the way that God is moving in the unique college culture of San Luis Obispo, and I am thrilled to be a part of the movement.  Before I can report to my assignment at Cal Poly, I face the challenge of raising my financial support.  Like many other mission organizations, Campus Crusade for Christ workers must raise all of their financial support.

Would you prayerfully consider supporting me for $100 or some other amount? If you are interested in being a part of my ministry team, please email me at sarabethkelly@gmail.com.  You can also give online by clicking here.  Search for me by name, or by my staff number (0623008).

Thank you so much for considering my need.  I am humbled and overjoyed by those who partner alongside me to bring the news of Jesus Christ to a world dying to hear.

Until the world hears,

Sara Kelly
